ImageTEK Scanner Configurator:
Tell us what you want to do and we'll tell you which of Kodak, Bell+Howell and Fujitsu's scanners will do the job!

What size documents do you want to scan (A8 - A3)?

How many documents do you want to scan daily, and in what time do you need these documents scanned. (ie. Do you have only 1 hour in the morning to scan 1000 documents per day)

Do you want to scan in colour or Black&White? If you want to scan in colour – what percentage of your documents are actual colour documents?

Do you need to use a flatbed or ADF (auto document feeder) only? (Do you want to scan pages in a book or bind document or only loose pages?)

What format would you like your documents to be stored in after scanning (PDF, TIFF etc) and do you have the necessary software to support these image formats?

Do you want to scan in Simplex or Duplex (one side only or both sides at the same time)

What is the required throughput of the scanner (e.g 15 - 200 pages per minute)?

Will you need to use a scanner connected by using USB, SCSI or Firewire interface?

Do you have any specific requirements regarding the DPI (dots per inch) of the images? The higher the DPI the better quality is the image, but a higher DPI will increase the file size of your scanned image.

Do you want to print anything on the document after scanning (ie. Date, time scanned, sequential number etc)? This is a handy tool to establish when and if a document has been scanned.

Have you seen a proper demo of the different scanners on offer, using your own documents to ensure that you make an informed decision?

What are you planning to do with the physical documents after scanning?
